comfortable stay near parks and famous landmarks
During our visit, we really appreciated the friendly hostess and the easy access to nearby attractions, like the picturesque Woodside Park just a short stroll away and the charming Elliots Of Lymington around the corner, making our weekend exploration truly enjoyable. Family with children will find this place a good base, although it can get a bit noisy if you like to sleep with the windows open.

missingWrote a review on 15 Sept
The breakfast offers a decent selection, with great poached eggs and bacon, cooked to order and quite well presented. The building retains a historical charm even though it feels a little worn around the edges.
The exterior and interiors show signs of neglect. the paintwork on the hallway screams for a fresh coat. Noise levels from the bar below, especially on karaoke nights, can be disruptive, and the room offered a mismatched assortment of furniture and bedding, lending it a shabby feel. Faded linens and the absence of a shower curtain in the bathroom make the experience less than comfortable, while toiletries left behind by previous guests feel uninviting. If you're taller than 5'6", watch your head in the shower. the height can be a challenge.

great staff but breakfast could be improved
The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist. The location made it easy to explore the area, with scenic views of the garden just outside our room.
The self-service breakfast lacked variety, which was a bit disappointing.

Great location, but needs work
Stayed for 2 nights and the location is just fab! Rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. the place felt a bit worn out, like it could use a refresh. Had full English for breakfast, but it was kinda cold and not what we expected. A decent spot, just needs some TLC.

The location was prime, right on the high street with easy access to shops and dining options. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and made the check-in process efficient. The room, while basic, was clean and provided a peaceful space to unwind after a busy workday.
The facilities need significant refurbishment and the overall atmosphere felt outdated.
